Prep Exercise 2:
Matching Buyer's Needs With Language that Resonates
Finding product-market fit can seem elusive. In reality, it's just making sure your product has a tight match to your buyer's highest-ranked desired outcomes. The simple exercise below called "Needs & Wants" using needs, wants, and aspire statements can help. Pick 3 statements that represent what your Ideal Customer hopes to accomplish, save, improve, enhance, overcome, etc with your product or service in their typical day or workflow. Then match 2 product features to each statement. The art of resonating with your market to find initial product-market fit is in how you deliver on your buyer's true needs, wants, and aspirations!
